Rockingham is Europe’s fastest banked oval racing circuit; the lap record for the 1.5-mile oval stands at 24.719s - an average speed of 215.397mph - and was recorded by Tony Kanaan in his Ford/Lola champ car in 2001.
Built on reclaimed industrial land near Corby, the track offers many different circuit configurations, featuring hairpins, straights and chicanes, with ample passing and run-off areas. For 2012, British F3 will for the first time use Rockingham's International Sportscar Long circuit.
It hosts a range of race events including the British Touring Car Championship, British F3/GT, as well as pick-up truck racing on the oval.
