A prodigiously successful karting career brought Harvey to the attention of the Racing Steps Foundation, which has furthered the careers of such as Oliver Turvey and James Calado through British Formula 3. Among Harvey’s many karting titles are the 2006 and ’07 Kartmasters Grand Prix, 2007 CIK FIA European KF3 and 2008 CIK FIA Asia Pacific KF2.

His first single-seater season in 2009 brought him a Formula BMW Europe race win and he went on to score several more in FBMW in 2010 on the way to championship second. Made a successful transition to British F3 in 2011 with RSF and Carlin, claiming ninth place in the championship, one race win and a string of late-season podium finishes.
