DRIVERS

Starting competing aged nine in karts in his native Portugal before switching to Formula Renault 2.0 single-seaters in 2007. In his first full season, in 2008, he was vice-champion of the Formula Renault 2.0 North European series; he went one better in 2009 to win the title.

In 2010 he switched to the F3 Euroseries, winning the Rookie class.
